Wink Hello from TigerDod

Just registered, thought I could share my experience as a Ford mechanic, I just retired after 40 yrs with our local Ford Truck dealership.

Found your site search does not work, that going to make this site mostly useless for those younger boys trying to get their vehicles going.
And yes I did look at the Site Announcement Forum, what I read was somewhat at odds with the information presented in the Site Registration information. Infomation was actually contradiictory to each other.
Anyway who wants to listen to a grumpy old man ! Just want to say Hello! And since I am retired I guess you will soon hear from me more than you like .

Hi and welcome to FTE! As you probably read the search is down until the owner of the site finishes his expensive upgrades he is planning on doing. Enjoy your stay.

Dear Tigerdog

How are things these days having loads of time to enjoy? I wonder if you could do me a favour. I am in transmissions and would like to know a detail about current ranger transmission. There are two types of transmissions named R1 and R2. They differ in the distance of the axles: R1 has an axle distance of 74, R2 has an an axle distance of 82.

You would not know by any chance which transmission is built into ranger R1 or R2, would you?

Best regards

Markus
