I have bounced this off the guys in the small block forum and just wanted to post it here before i make the final purchases.
What I've Got
85 5.0 HO non roller ex cbi block, flat tops etc all stock
c90e 351W heads
edelbrock performer 289 intake
Hooker long tube small collecter headers
Hushpower II's
c-6
3.73 Posi
Going into a 66 short box
What I am going to add
Cam Comp Xe 262 H ( with matching springs and lifters )
Edelbrock 600 cfm carb
It's out of the truck and stripped down on the stand.This is to be a daily/weekend driver so some reliability and drivability is a must.I am no engine builder and most of what I have learned is from this site.Will this combination be good?
