T-98 4 speed
hello Is anyone familliar with the T-98 4 speed introduced into Ford trucks in 1952 . A Ford Truck pulication says real positive things about them. I have a 50 and its still running the old 30s style floorshift behind a 302 . I'm real carefull about shifting. The 4 speed has the top shifter similar to the old 3 speed. Would it be a good replacement and fit without major modification to the crossmember.I like the look of the old floor shifters. I have a rebuilt C-4 in storage and I have considered using it with a Lockar or Gennie shifter . Would I haft to cut the crossmember for the automatic.The old 3 speed is fine and one day I may reunite it with the Flathead V8. Thats why I dont want to cut the frame. In the meantime though, I was thinking of a replacement . thanks. Travis
