TPS below min volt...need help

i have replaced the TPS on my 94 with a 5.8 now it gives me code 123 = TPS circuit below min voltage, what did i do wrong? could it be on backwards? throtle responce is not good, I need help have a trip this weekend and I need the truck

You have to adjust the voltage on it before you finish the installation. Basically you hook up a multimeter up to 2 of the wires and rotate the whole TPS until the voltage reads between .6v to 1.0v . A Haynes or Chiltons manual describes the process in detail.

thanks for the help but it was actually a bad sensor i got, it was getting almost 5 volts in high and low. put new sensor on and it is like a new truck
