Here's the info for you:
Rear axle code "01" ........3.70 ratio
Date code "05 J" ...........September 5, 1956
1957 F-100 Styleside 110" w.b. .........64,050 were produced
On the '57-'60 date codes, Ford did not use the letter "I". They skipped from "H" right to "J". October would be the letter "K".
Because model year production fell under two seperate years, they seperated the codes into "first year" & "Second year" categories.
"J" would be September in the first year of model year production (1956).
"W" would be September in the second year of model year production (1957).
