Standard 3-speed vs. 3HD
The regular 3 spd. has a helical first/reverse gear, while the HD has a spur gear. Both have the remote shift ( 3 speed on the column ). The HD was standard equipment in F250, F350, P350, and P500, and optional in the F100, F500, and B500 school bus. The HD has the shift levers sticking out of the top, kind of like a regular 3spd. on it's side. I don't know if it applies to the F100 aplication or not, but it shows the HD with the emergency brake on the back of the transmission.
