I am tires of the factory bed liners. I want a spray in that will last a long time, but would like one that maybe isn't as skid resistant. I need to slide trees in and out of the bed, and that skid resisitant stuff would make that harder. Is there such a product. If not, I still need something. All opinions will be appreciated. It is an 06 F350 long bed. Any idea on $$$? Thanks guys, Levi
I have a 2007 F-350 Long Bed and I had a Line-X put in it. So far I love this thing. Lifetime warranty, if anything happens to it, take it to any Line-X dealership in the country, and they fix it for free, for life. Mine is fairly skid resistant. Things still move around if I take a corner hard, but they stay put for the most part. Im pretty sure you can ask them to make it a little less textured if you want. Mine ran around $385, but that was on special, I think its a little over $400.00 regularly. Hope this helps!
Line-X is the number one liner installed around me, but it isn't as nice as the Rhino liner. Line X is hard almost like a plastic and things still slide. Rhino liner is flexable almost like rubber. Haven't seen anything slide around on my dads truck. He drives like a maniac! You have to wear the seat belt to stay in the seat yet things don't move in the bed. Both liners seem more than durable.
Edit: If you need to slide things in and out the line X would be better. Not as slippery as a drop in, but it way closer than a rhino liner.

I like my Line-X, but it seems to vary quite a bit. Mine is perfect lots of texture and thick. My dealer subcontracted mine out. Iv'e seen other Line-X jobs in the are that are thin and relatively smooth. I think you need to check around no matter which brand, and make sure you see some jobs that the shop has done.
I have a line-x and would not buy anything else. Have heard that Rhino's are not as tough and I can believe it after seeing and feeling one. I have no personal experience with Rhino though.
I find my Rhino liner very durable. I use my truck every day for trips to the dump or hauling masonry materials. No cracks, cuts, or stains. What works best for me is a sheet of 5/8 inch plywood that I keep in the bed at all times. You can slide things around pretty easily and it is added protection when throwing in chunks of concrete or other heavy things. I've never seen a Linex so don't know the difference.
I have experience w/ both and if I had to slide stuff around on it regularly, I'd go with the Line-X. As the Rhino Lining wears in, it will smooth out some, but it still provides more resistance than the Line-X. The Line-X is more gritty, sandpaper-like, while the Rhino is more rubbery in the begining and then it will sort of "smooth-over" and get almost like textured plastic. I have Rhino in my Jeep and in a former pick-up and both held up very well to my blatant abuse. Neither has been repaired. I had Line-X in another truck as delaer installed option, and it held up but things still slid around.
I'm assuming and perhaps I shouldn't, that these are root-ball trees and in my limited experience with them, I think they would slide easier on the Line-X. Just my long-winded .02!!!
My father-in-law has Line-X in his F150 and says he likes it.
My brother-in-law has Rhino Liner in his Sliverado and likes it OK, but he's lately noticed a layer of oxidization forming over it and he doesn't like that.
Seeing and feeling both, I prefer the Line-X. The last ime I checked it was a little over $400 for my F250 Shortbox. That was about a year ago and I still haven't gotten around to having it done. But I do have the PE JackRabbit roll top bed cover. Anyway I do plan to go with Line-X.
I had a Line-X spray on bed liner installed for around $450 (8' long bed). I like it. Stuff would still slide around on it so I bought a rubber bed mat, which helped. I would go with a Line-X liner. I dont think they are all that textured - stuff will still slide in and out.
