On my FNL’s 91 F-350 the fuel light is coming on, (not the water in fuel light). I’m thinking it’s dirty and comes on only when it not flowing enough fuel. He said it nothing but a screen and doesn’t filter dirt.
Who is correct?

It's the fuel filter light that’s coming on (it’s located on the instrument cluster).
Hs says it only filters water, but its not causing the water light to come on.
Anyone?
