the connection is sort of under the ash tray...or at least it in that general area. there is a post on part # somewhere, but with not being able to search, i don't know where.
I have a capped plug at the rear frame. Do you know if this has a wire for the brakes or do I need to run a direct line. I assume it is the connection for the trailer lights.
If it was wired correctly it will. If it is the 7 way rv plug that is most commonly used it will be the bottom right prong inside the cap and it should be a blue 12 ga wire.
Kurrie, It sounds like you DO HAVE the trailer towing package on your truck.
My '94 had the same "capped plug" you describe on the back drivers side of the frame just temporerely mounted with 1 bolt--thats the way the factory shipped them--you can remove this Bargman style plug and mount more permanatly towards the rear of your truck-I found a hole in the left side of the bumper that works great--plus you should have the plug inside your cab-just towards the firewall down under the ash tray-its mounted sideways-there IS a harness you can buy to plug into this and all you'll have to do then is hook up 4 wires from your brake controller to THIS harness and you'll be all set to go--everything on the back should already be done wire wise.
