Engine makes a "swooshing" or "rushing" sounds when accelerating and the tac jumps up then falls back to where it should. (It kind of reminds me of back-in-the-day when we were kids and would turn the breather lid upside down and you could hear the air breather louder)
I noticed this just after swapping out the air filter.
Yup, that was the first thing I thought of and it still sounds like that, but I couldn't figure it out - thus the posting. It also seems to come and go. I also wonder if I had a brain fart and put the wrong one in, but don't think I did. Its the barrel shaped one.
Similarly, I have read/heard alot about the $50 roadhog air filters, but I drive this old truck alot on dusty gravel roads and was wondering if they would be good for this.
Well now that hunting season is here and I am driving it daily - I believe that this is the problem. It is somewhat intermittent but I have also noticed that it slips some when going into overdrive.
