Does anyone make a reliable heater core?
The last 2 heater cores I installed in my 76 F150 lasted 1 week each. Anyone know of a quality brand that will last?ffice

Where was the heater core leaking from. 2 heater cores in 2 weeks, something does not sound right here.
Does your current heater core have the insulator?
Not sure what is meant with the last sentence?

Yes I am using the insulators and the first one leaked just below center of the core. The most recent one I don’t have out yet. Both fit well and were purchased at NAPA and they will hear about it</ST1. They are slightly different in shape at the top tank so possibly different manufacturers. I am a mechanic by trade so I feel pretty confident I am installing them correctly. Engine runs very cool and yes I have posting issues among other things.<O</O

Just wondering if the correct radiator cap is being used. (check for a 13 lb radiator cap)
Make sure the heater assembly box is not rubbing on heater core.
I have had good luck with Autozone, Carquest and Checkers heater cores.
No leaks yet.
It seems like a defective batch.
What is the brand of the heater cores used?
You'll get the hang of posting, it does take some time.

I'm with 1975 Ford, might be time to try a different brand.
