Escape RADIO basics
Hope this is not a repeat - ran a search and nothing came up. I bought my son a 2005 Escape LTD - GREAT VEHICLE. It has the MACH radio with CD built in - it says it has a SAT button - what else is needed to get him SAT radio? Also, does Ford use XM or SIRRIUS?

I'm pretty sure ford uses SIRIUS.. and it was a factory installed option, which means it may be very costly if even possible to add on this feature to that radio.
The sales guys at Ford dealerships are pretty knowledgeable about this, might try giving one of them a ring for advice.

Went to the dealership yesterday for the first oil change and to establish a baseline for maintenance, etc. Asked the service department and they said that Ford sells a package (receiver and antenna and he thought the price was around $ 400; Ford does use Sirrius
