A.C. Compressor ?

Has anyone had problems with the air-condition compressor turning on and off every 15 seconds. Didn't notice when I purchased my '05 150 Screw 5.4 this summer because I was using the A.C. but, now that it is cooling off around here. I have noticed that the ac compressor turns on and runs for about 10 seconds than turns off for about 15 sec. then the cycle starts over and over. It does this when the **** is set to any positon except off.

It's normal, the ac compressor will cycle more as the temp goes down because it does not have too work as hard and you most likley don't have the fan on high either, both of which allow the pressures to change quicker which causes the cycling, nothing to be concerned with.

I agree on the low freon... I had the same problem with my 05 screw last winter... and the first time I needed to use the air in the spring... nothing... just hot air. Turns out there was a break in one of the lines and all the freon leaked out. Bring it in and have it checked.

The real question is is the truck staying cool, if so then it might just be a function of the thermostat seeing the air up to temp.
