Hey Ranger Pat!

The front suspension is from a 69 LTD. About 20" of the frame is married into the old F-100 frame. It starts right in front of the front cab mount and ends before the original radiator support crossmember. The LTD clip includes a beefy cross member under the engine and engine mounts, a steering gear located to the frame rail behind the crossmember, a stabilizer bar in front of the engine and disc brakes from the LTD. This gives me a car wheel bolt pattern to match the 9" rear from a car also. The frames are almost the same width in the clip area and the track widths were almost identical. This system requires a front sump oil pan which is avail from Ford. The hardest part was patching in an oil dip stick into the side of the front sump pan. My engine came with a two sump Fox type pan with the dip stick into the pan. When Ford's had front sump pans, the dip sticks went through the engine front cover. My engine did not even enough beef in the front cover to drill out a place for the dip stick. Also I changed to a front sump oil pick up and added a windage tray, once I took it apart. Hold off on follow up questions for a while, I am leaving on a 4 week trip in the morning. Try me the week of Oct 7th.
