I just got true duals with flowmaster 40 series mufflers put on. I previously had a single flow with dual outlet and was dissapointed with it. It was way to quiet. However, the new true duals are not much better. Whats the problem? I still have all 4 cats on there and they arent gutted or anything. Thats got to be whats holding it back, right? Also, the tips are small, people tell me that bigger tips give a deeper sound. Is there any truth to this?

If you dont have emissions testing in your state...then go ahead and gut your cats. They are what really hold the sound back...

what about the loss in performance from takin off the cats?? ive always wanted to do it, but so many people have told me about the lack of backpressure actually reduces performance/gas mileage
