I have a 97 f150 and today the parking brake wouldnt fully release as I was driving it. It seems to be not totally releasing on the passenger side. The brake is not hanging enough to keep from driving but as soon as the truck is in neutral it slows down quickly and it hangs enough the truck cannot be pushed in neutral.
Anyhelp with this problem or advice on what to do would be appreciated. Thanks.

There are two cables that run to each rear wheel and over time, dirt and grime causes them to stick. The cable from the parking brake runs along the driver side frame rail and connects with the two cables just in front of the driver side rear tire. You can get replacements and that should cure the sticking problem.
