40/20/40 seat differences?

What differences, if any, are there between the 40/20/40 seats on regular, extended, and crew cab trucks? Also, did the XLT crews come with 40/20/40 rear seats also, or just front? I'm interested in getting one (or two), but if there are slight differences I don't want to get the wrong one. If I were to get one, would it really matter which one I had?

Rear seat crew should be the same as reg. or ext. cabs because it folds forward, right? What about the tracks, are they common between cabs and seat styles or are they all different? Thanks.

My front seats in my ex-cab have to slide forward for access to the back. I dont think the 4 doors do that with their front seats. The 4 doors that I have been in have a bench style rear seat.

The XLT came with a bench in the back, but I think there was an option for captains chairs in the front??
I know mine came with the 40/20/40 in the front.

My rig has the 40/20/40 front, and bench in back with tall backrest and fold up arm rest. don't know if this helps, good luck.

IF you're thinking of swapping, I did it. I got the 40-20-40 out of an extended cab only to find that none of the bolt holes lined up. Apparently, you have to get a unit out of another crewcab or a regular cab if you want it to bolt up. I installed this one anyway. Just had to drill new holes and grind off the old studs. I wouldn't go back though. The straight bench was just no good compared to the 40-20-40. Good luck.

Just a wild thought could someone with tallent (not like me) put a 40/20/40 in the back seat area of crew cab, with out much trouble? If it were simple that would make for sweet ride.
