steering column question

Hey guys
I have a 73 steering column with a rag joint end, can I use this in my 75, and can I remove the rag joint and go with my 75 double universal??
I needed to replace the 75 column, the top bearing is trashed and I screwed up the steering wheel spline.

I did the conversion, it has been awhile, I swapped the steering column shaft, from steering column bottom end to steering gear box. I found a steering column shaft, that would slide in or out, at the center of shaft. Don't remember what year of Ford Truck.

found out the shaft is to short, and all I need in my old one is a upper bearing retainer, it is rubber and it tore, making the bearing walk, any ideas on how to put it in??
