A few weeks ago, my 04 F150's headlights began cutting out when I would turn the signal lights on.
Tonight, when I started the truck, I have no headlights at all... the marker lights all work, the high beams will come on when the MFS is pulled back, the highs however do not work when the MFS is placed in the forward position. The fuses are all ok, but the headlights do not work in the regular on position or in the auto position.
I am thinking this is a problem in the MFS, since it was acting funny when the signals were turned on earlier.
wow, I thought Ford had finally fixed that problem when they changed body styles in 1997. Every F-150 I've had since my 1984 F-150 has done that to some degree. It is either the MFS or if these are like the old trucks, there is a relay down near the e-brake that gets smacked when you release the e-brake
Nope, still a problem, including 97-03 anyway, it's just about the right time for it to start showing up on these new one's though. It's a lot of power running thru that little space. Just another reason I did the upgraded harness mod on my truck, it has a fraction of that power running through it now.
