Is there going to be a big price difference between the 08' 250 350 and 450s?
Also do yall think they all will come with rear air bag spring helpers. because ive got a 35 foot fifth wheel that squats my 02 pretty bad. u can feel it hit the over load springs on bumps. thanks.
I don't see there being a big difference in prices of the 250 and the 350 (less than 1K). However, I believe the difference in prices between the 350 and 450 will be a bigger gap.
its not for me its for my dad. he is going to get an 08' but he cant decide wat he wants. we dont realy haul any thing bigger than the fifthwheel so i dont think he will up it to a 450 (but you never no) i was just wondering price differences on them. i think he will probly go with the 350. he has a f250 7.3l 4x4 right now and as i mentioned earlier the trailer squats it pretty bad and it slows it down pretty good going up these mounains in arkansas. The axles on the trailer are odly set kinda far to the back so it puts around 13,000lbs in the bed of the truck, thats why i was wondering about the helper springs.
That's still like putting a couple small SUVs in the bed of your truck. The rear tires on my F250 are rated at 3300lbs each, so yeah... I think/hope you're mistaken about the tongue weight of your trailer. I can tell you when I put about a ton of dirt in the bed of my truck I could feel the overloads bumping the stops while driving like you describe.

I talked to my local Ford dealer. He price differences between the 350 cc dually and the 450 is going to be about $2100. He actually does not have a price book for the 450 yet. The differences in the two trucks is bigger tires and wheels, Heavier axels, 500lb increase in front springs, and two extra springs in the back. Fender flares in the front to accomidate the wider 450 front axel. The maximum 5th wheel hauling capacity for the F-350 cc dually is 18,700# with a GCVW of 26,000#s. The maximum 5th wheel weight for the F-450 is 24,000#s with a GCVW of 33,000#s. As you can see the 450 will haul on HELL of a big 5th wheel trailer. If you have a 5th wheel trailer that weighs more than 24,000 lbs you better have a CDL and be drivin something named Peterbuilt....
