I dont have an F250 to look at. Im trying to piece together a lift for my cousins F250. Ive got the drop brackets, I need springs. So Ive got a couple of questions about the stock ones. I know they they are a negative arch spring pack. What I would like to know is this:
1) do the shorter leaves of the pack stack up on top of the main leaf, or below it?
2) if you ran a line center to center on the eyes of the spring, what would the distance be if measured from the surface where the axle mounts on the spring, to that line?... while the truck is sittin on all 4 tires just as it would driving down the road.
If the leaf pack stacks up, and not down I can flip the springs. I need to know how much the radius of the arch is first, so I can figure out how much lift is going to be created when done and have the I beam drop brackets built to get the camber close to where it needs to be.
I found some pics of a stock f250 and its springs, what I want to do wont be doable. Im going to give him my stock f350 springs when I get my lift in. I still need to know how much negative arch there is.
i'm not to sure what the negative arch rate is but if u put in those 350 springs u will have front end alignment problems..the front axle on those trucks r very touchy.trust me i've been through enough with it.i just put in a 4 in lift on my 250.how big does your cousin wanna go? i got a 2.5in lift for a 250 4 sale.will fit 33's no problem
im not just giving him the springs, im getting him some drop brackets made to go along with the springs. I havent had the time yet, I need to get my lift in first so I can go size up the f250 vs 350 springs so I know how much to drop the I beams.
