Has anyone tried on of these or heard anything about them. What are your opinions. I know you can probably piece together something similar for less. I want to get my fuel system up to par and i'm trying to do my homework on which products to get. thanks
I have a Carter 4070 lift pump, as close to the tank as possible. It's mounted to the rear-most cab cross member. It's on the noisy side, even noticeable when the engine is running. I have the intank-prepump mods done, and i am running 30R9 3/8" line from the tank to the lift pump, to the Dahl 150 frame-mounted filter/h2o seperator, to the Y-block on the engine. I have pics of it in my fuel system gallery.
Wow, that is very salty for just a lift pump and fuel/water seperator/filter. $700?
Yes i do have my stock pump in stock location. The only stock supply line i have is from the fuel level to the outlet of the tank. That's 'Hutched. I have new line from there to the Y-block. At the framerail, i tied back into the stock return line to the tank.
I bought a Carter 4070 Lift pump from Jegs for about $60, a Dahl 150 (100 if you're keeping stock injectors) from Dieselsite for $170 i think, and that is a water seperator too.
