Yep but I don't know how rightous it was. I'll see if I can come up with a better one maybe a short video clip. Gotta try and figure out the video feature.

You kidding me?!? That thing sounded SHA-W-E-E-E-T! If mine sounds anywhere NEAR that good I'll be tickled spit-less!
Well, got the new Y-pipe and exhaust installed today. Turned out almost perfect. The 3" end of the Y-pipe came out almost perfectly centered between the frame and the tranny. Ended being a little lower than I would have liked, but I was able to fix it pretty easily. I had the turbo downpipe that came with the kit and it had a couple of 15-20 degree bends in it. A little cutting, fitting and welding and I was able to make a nice little "jog pipe" that shifted the pipe up a couple of inches and in towards the center of the truck a couple of inches. Just enough to make it go through the opening between the tranny and the crossmember. All said and done I ended up with at least 3/4" or more clearance between the pipe and crossmember and about the same between the Y and the frame.
Sounds really sweet. Noticeable difference in power too - especially on the highway. Took a run at my favorite test hill on the way home and topped 'er at 53 MPH! I'll post some pictures of how it turned out tomorrow, along with a nice sound clip. Planning on doing the dual ram-air tomorrow too. Pretty soon I'll be topping that hill at 55....
What's with you and burnouts these days?!? Burnouts don't do anything but wear down your tires. They aren't even the best way to get a top 0-60 time....
I'll agree with that.
That boat is the most fun I've ever had with clothes on. That was an old movie with the small block (403). Now it has a 461 in it. It's even more fun now.
Well, sorry to say no picts or sound clip today. Got diverted doing other things for a while this morning, and didn't get to work on the truck 'til after noon.
Got my second snorkle putto on the air cleaner, and got one ram-air scoop fabbed and fitted (passenger side) before it got too dark to work though.
Hoping to finish tomorrow afternoon. Once the ram-air is done, THEN I'll take the time for pictures and sound recordings and that kind of fluff.
Well fellas, sorry but no pictures again today. Didn't get the ram-air system completed. BUT......
I did get the second intake snorkle and the passenger side ram-air plumbing completed hooked up and funtional. Then the weather just got too nasty to keep working outside. So, I took 'er for a run at the test hill. As always, starting from 62-63 mph at the point where the hill starts getting steep, this time I topped it at 55-56 MPH!
So, over the last week or so, by changing the fan clutch, installing the new 3" exhaust, and adding a second intake snorkle, I've improved my speed topping the hill from 45 mph to 55+ mph. Truck has MUCH snappier throttle response, accelerates and pulls better, plus it sounds GREAT! I couldn't be happier with the results! It is already feeling like it would give the 350 in my old 77 Chevy 1/2 ton a real run for its money.
It will be a couple of weeks before I get to finish the ram-air on the other side. Got Cub Scout Winter Camp to go to next weekend. Once the driver's side ram-air is done and I install my pyrometer (I added a bung for the temp probe to the downpipe on the new exhaust system) it will be time to turn up the IP.
After that comes the 3-stage propane injection. I'm thinking I won't even want the extra power of a turbo by the time I get 'er on the gas.....

I'd be interested in seeing how you double ram air your rig. I cut out drivers side radiator brace on my 93 F-250 and fabbed a 4" pipe to the grille and welded a scoop on it. It would be tough to do same on passenger side. Oh, forgot to say I run it into a K&N filter
