tranny trouble
Hello fellas, I am in need of your wisdoms ! 1984 f-250 4wd. When I let off the accelerator when coming to a redlight or going down hill, the tranny kicks out of gear. The only way to get it to "click" back into gear is get it to an uphill grade, let it roll back, and shift into park. It will then "click" into gear. I can usually prevent this from happening if Ikeep torque on the tranny by driving 2 footed. Obviously this is not a good scenario, and would like some opinions before I pull out the tranny for repair. Thanks in advance for any help on this.
