intermitten locking doors!!!

Driving down the highway as soon as we hit a bump the doors will lock then unlock then lock again. Has anyone had this type of problem before? I have a 2001 Ford Excursion (gas) Could it be the aftermarket remote alarm system? Any ideas?? Thanks

we have the same problem on our 2000. i was playing with the stock remote and it did it in the garage. so i took it off and 2 days later it did it again. im thinking the same thing as you..a loose wire in our accessory alarm or just a loose wire somewhere else. i wiggle wires, bang on swithches....but nope. i guess i have to get the wiring diagram and start from there. but our problem is ocasional.

i just put dialectic grease..(i know i spelled that wrong) on the switches on the driver side for our driver window..it sticks sometimes ..another issue.... and played with the alarm wiring..there was a bad connection somewhere and the alarm would cycle sometimes..but i could not figure out which one...that might cause it but there is no chirp when the locks cycle. maybe bc the ignition is on. but we will see..if it doesnot happen again..for 2 weeks i'll post that.

i have checked this past few days and found that the actuator is bad. By comapring it to the passenger side the motor has barley any power to lock or unlock the door. At a tune of about 70.00 it should cure the problem. Wiring looks fine that I can see without my inspection mirror.
