gas mileage

i have a 99 ford ranger 4x4 with the 3.0 in it and i was just wanting to know what kind of gas mileage you guys are getting? i think iam around 17 to 19 not very good... another quick question, my engine is a flex fuel, what does that mean and what can i do with it?

Your mpg is typical. Flex fuel means you can run gas or e85 (85% ethanol and 15% gas) If you search you will find a long thread of MPG postings.

You're above average in MPG, but that is what you "think" you get. Might want to take the time to figure out what your "actually" getting. The ranger I previously had would get what I wanted it to get depending on how I drove. IF I wanted 20-22 out of a 4.0 I could get it.
