Master cylinder question
How can I tell if my master cylinder is about to go out? My brakes are getting a little spongy and I am worried.

Well one way is by slowly pushing the brake pedal in. If it sinks to the floor when you SLOWLY push but works better if you quickly push the pedal it is a sure sign that he seals are going bad.
Another reason for your poor braking performance could be worn fluid. It's not listed anywhere in the service manual as a preiodic maintenance item but you really should swap fluid out every 2 years.
You've got and 01 with 190K. Have you ever replaced the original fluid?
