Alright I have ruled out the Rancho 5000's per your advice. I am deciding between Bilsteins($62 each) and KYB($43 each).
I have heard numerous reviews on Bilsteins. Everybody likes.
I have heard one or two comments on KYB--anybody else familiar with these?
I like the looks of the KYB(Red with black boot) better than Bilstein. Afterall my truck is Red. I would really appreciate any info you can share on KYB's!
Thanks
Steve
The Rancho RS9000 shocks have red boots. I have them on my truck, but primarily because I haul a large slide-in camper occasionally. For camper owners, I consider these shocks a must because they are adjustable. I can set the rears at max dampening when the camper is loaded to minimize the side to side sway and then set them softer for unloaded driving. It's the best of both worlds. If you aren't hauling a camper, I can't help with a recommendation.
