c6 swap

Greeting to all

This is my first post and I'm trying to find out if a 73 2 wheel drive F100 C6
transmission will fit into my 77 four wheel drive F150 stepside. Both have
a 460 engine in them. Thanks much.

Depending on the transfer case, you might have to change the tail housing and output shaft.

it also depends on what the 460 was out of for the 1973, because stock it would have been an fe block. if it were out of a car i think youd probably have to change output shafts

about the only major issue is going to be if you have a married or divorced Tcase, but for the most part no you can't swap that without doing some changing of the output shafts.
