steering swap
Hey guy's, My daily driver is a 90 f150 4x4,but I have a 75 f250 4x4 390 np435 np205 with a steering problem that I would like to get back on the road.The problem is the power assist steering .that ''slave cylinder'' dont know if this is the proper term ,has been nothing but trouble I got it rebuilt twice it wears out quick and starts to leak leaving me with no power steering,btw the front axel is a closed knuckel dada 60. It looks like I can swap the steering system out of a 78 or 79 and I wanted to know if this is possible or if any one has had a similar problem and how did you fix. I love the truck it is a absolute beast except for the steering problem. thanks for an advice.

the 78 or 79 4x4 stuff is the one you want. In the tech section there is a listing for adding power steering to the highboy. It covers what to get and how to install it. There was a guy a while back that was selling the kits on ebay but I can't find his kits anymore. Kits ran like $1K each. Have fun and I hear it is well worth it.

Hey guys. I have the same problem as tony b. I have a '76 highboy, and I have found and bought all the parts for the swap except the pitman arm and draglink. I'm having a heck of a time finding those parts. Can anybody help me find them? Thanks alot.
