No that will not fit. The bolt holes on your bumper I believe are much narrower than on the 90's p/u's. You would have to drill new holes and it just wouldn't look good. Pass on that one.
73-79 Ford trucks had a factory black tube push bar from the factory that bolts to the bumper mounts on the frame.
I will see if I can post a picture of it.
thanks, guess ill just keep looking. BTW, no, the ones at jc whitney won't work, fyi, it's gotta stand up to a 200-300 lb. deer being hit while going up to 70 mph
Why didn't you say you wanted a bullet proof brush guard. It's a brush guard not a cattle guard like on an old train. Something that strong would have to be fabricated to meet your specs or deer ramming needs. Bill
ha ha. very funny.
maybe i over exaggerated a little bit, how about ave. deer= 200 lbs. and decent speed of 30-40, better? im not worried about having to bend the guard back into place, as long as it protects (for the most part) the front end of the truck.
still, jc whitney and other tube bumpers i've seen do not hold up at all, just for looks.

Pricey, but well worth the money. I deer tested mine at 60 mph, and it barely scratched it. I had the bumper with grille guard and brush guards. Most of the bumper mount brush guards out there are for looks only and will be crushed like they weren't even there.
up here in Alberta both magnum and ali arc bumpers are very popular and will stand up to bashing a deer. both companies will custon build to your needs or specs but you are talking $1500 plus. see www.magnumtrailer.com or google ali arc. I know magnum is Canadian and I think ali arc is US.

I think thats the type I scored not sure though. But mines bolted right to the frame where the bumper bolts on and its held up pretty well considerning I nose dove it into a 3ft deep mudhole goin about 25-30. So my best bet would still be the local parts yard.
