fuel line problem

i recently took the fuel injection system off the intake manifold because i was switching the entire system over to another engine. i was in a hurry while doing this and instead of figuring out the best way to unhook the fuel injection system, i just cut the line that leads out of the system. now because of my retarded decision, i have to figure out a way to reconnect the two lines. does anyone have any ideas? anything will help

thanks

See if lowe's has a compression fitting (coupler) that will fit. I can't remember if it's metric or not, but 8mm is the same as 5/16" anyway. Some of the others are close, but there are a few that will not crossover.

If you find a brass compression fitting that will work, make sure it has the little brass inserts that fit inside the plastic tubing(fuel line). If you do not use these, the compression ring will just collapse the plastic tubing and not hold.
