90 Bronco Fuel System Problems
Hello All,
I have a 90 Bronco 5.8L E4OD that is driving me nuts. Fuel pump in the tank whines like hell sometimes then other times no noise at all. I changed the fuel filter, added tank/injector cleaner so far and same results. Also when it starts up it idles up to 900. then drops to like 550 in like 5 seconds. I put into reverse then it stalls and surges like the transmission is out of wack. This only happens sometimes and no constant thing like only in cold weather,etc.
No check engine light ever came up on dash.
No parts have been changed on this fuel system,only the lines from what I can see.
Your ideas and comments would be much appreciated.

pull codes, even with no CEL a code can still be stored . www.fordfuelinjection.com will show you how using a paperclip.
