Help Please - Fuel Pump Circuit Interrupted

1986 F250 Reg Cab 4X4 (460 engine)

I'm currently going through my truck to refesh seals and such. I've had the engine and transmission out of the vehicle.

While doing this work I cut the wires to a trailer brake control and removed it (it was vibrating and rattling and I don't use it).

Now my fuel pumps won't start up. I assume they are activated as part of the ignition circuitry.

Do you guys think this pump issue is related to removing the brake control?

I've double checked all the wire harness connections at least twice. The only wiring diagram I have is in the Haynes manual and it is pretty hard to read (too small).

When you cut the wires you may have caused a short and now have a bad fuse or fuse link.
Here is a diagram of your system:

Fuel Pump Relay

Do you know the physical location of the Fuel Pump Relay ? There does appear to be any relays in the fuse box.

When I removed the brake control there was no battery power to the truck. But I still think these could be related issues.

Thanks for the wiring diagram (much easier to read)

EDIT:
The diagram I posted yesterday I have retouched it to make it easier to read.

The fuel pump relay should be on your drivers side fender, a green and gray or black box.
