Trailer light problem

I am having a problem with the passenger side/right turn output on the factory connector on the back of my 00 Expy. I was wiring a trailer for a friend and thought I had a bad bulb, but using a tester plugged into the connector on the hitch, I get running, left turn but no right turn. Does anyone know if anything short of a broken wire could cause this. I really don't want to trace the wiring harness all the way back to the front if I don't have too. I am not sure that is has ever worked in the 3 years I have owned the vehicle, no wrecks , or damage is visible. Thanks, Dan

The Ford factory trailer tow wiring keeps separate, dedicated fuses for trailer lighting. They'll be listed out separate in the fuse box. I think they're in the one on the inside of the truck rather than the power distribution box under the hood. Hopefully they have little descriptions on the fuse box lid still in that year. Otherwise, you'll have to find the location in the Owner's Manual.

Best of luck with finding your problem.
