2008 Super Duty Pricing?
Word of advice, Don't buy anything with the 6.0 (i. e. 2003 and above), they are problem children. All I own is Fords, but the reality is ,My 2000 and was a stud, not one problem in 7 years. My 2006, Ford just bought that one back after 6 months and 7000 miles on it.
Here is my truck
F250 4x4 crew, 156", two twon pain, captains chairs, Lariat, 6.4L diesel, auto, 275 OWL 20" tires, 3.73 LS, all weather mats, 4x4 off road package, chrome cab steps, elec SOF, Supp Heater, Eng Blk Heater, PWR Sld rear window, 6dc audiophile, memory group, traction cntrl, adj gas/brake pedal, stabilizer pck, upfitter sw, etr hvy dut alt, rev veh aid sensor, bed extender, univ garage, tailgate step, heated seats, tow command sys and I think this is it.
Total MSRP 53,510 (not what I am paying) does not include freight. Build date is Feb 12
The big question in my mind was the increase in the 6.4 over the 6.0. MSRP on the 6.4 is 6,985 or about 1,600 increase over the 6.0's for the new emmissions.
Hope this helps some.

I have contacted a few dealers as well as checking pricing on the competitors, and they (Ford) are not very willing to negociate. I would be willing to pay $1200.00 below dealer invoice as I have done with all of my other Fords. This (Dealer invoice that they show customers) isn't even the real invoice, they have a fleet invoice which has the real price. There are so many roll backs, that if the customer doesn't ask, they won't tell (ie., Advertising expenses, interest expenses, etc...) I think that Ford thinks that they can sell these things for what they want because it is a new truck, but the reality is that loyalists like myself are very leary, especially if you have owned a 6.0. The prices on the Fords are well over $5000.00 more than a comparably equiped Chevy or Dodge. Don't get me wrong, but when paying $40,000.00+ for a new vehicle, loyalty goes out the door, and to pay more for an engine that is not tried and true is rediculous, especially when they had so many problems with the previous one (the 6.4 is still the 6.0 with changes, not a totally new engine). They had better wake up and smell the roses. As of now I am without a truck and am waiting to see what happens with the 6.4. I do not need it until the summer so I am doing my home work. I have learned that when using the Lemon law Ford as well as every other manufacturer does not make it easy, and even then they try to squeeze every penny back they can. Advice from experience, if your truck has a problem, take it too the shop ASAP, because they pro-rate the mileage as to when the truck first had a problem. I lost $477.00 because they said that the trucks problem first appeared at 1363 miles, and in reality, it was leaking from the moment that I brought it home, I just wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and figured it might have been from filling it. Secondly the truck was lifted, and lucky that I keep all of the parts, I believe that they tried to use this as a technicality, that is why they told me that I had to return it to stock condition. I say this because when I got the paperwork to sign in bold letters they marked along the side, customer MUST return stock wheels and tires at time of surrender, figuring that I didn't keep them and this would prevent the deal. Thx for your info though, and being that you were kind enough to respond, I figured I would share this with you. BN
There must not be any pricing out on Web sites yet. However I did read on THE DIESEL STOP web site this am that the new 6.4 is going to cost $6795 as an option instead of the current $5,300 for the 6.0. This was from a dealer who had some prices for the guys there asking. He did say the pricing structure at Ford was changing this year. While MSRP IS GOING UP dealer invoice is going down. Ford wants to get away from hudge rebates to sell trucks so they are giving the dealers more room to negociate by lowing dealer invoice while upping MSRP. That came from a sales person at a Ford dealer. Ford seems real serious this time around. I think its a make or break product for 08. I expect new diesel problems to be at a minimun and Dealers ready to deal.
Yah, I read his posting on the stop, he posted an F250 dealer invoice, that's on order and posted the price on a 450, his name is Bobby Williams. On an earlier posting before the pricing one he actually put out the actual dealer super duty option manual. I hope your right on the actual negotiation end, because the pricing on all other options are the same as 2007. As of right now all of the dealers that I have contacted seem to think that they don't have to negociate and want top dollar, I guess this is because it's so early in the game. Well, I can wait, I'm 43 and have been around the block, I do not buy on whims. So If you know of a dealer that is willing to negociate, let them know that I am willing to negociate. Thx B

Almost....
Base MSRP is going down, option cost is up, and dealer invoice is up.
The reason is correct -- Ford (and GM) both want the MSRP to be closer to the actual transaction price.
Bottom line -- you will be paying more b/c the truck costs the dealer's more.
I am trying to hold out until at least late summer or early fall, when I believe rebates will be just as big as they are now (if not bigger).
I also am going to hold out 'till summer.
