You could make one out of a piece of angle iron or a bent piece of metal if you have that lying around.
Or, leech off any junkyard 5.0L. Lincolns (town car and Mark-whatever) will have a suitable bracket that will contain the ends of the throttle cable, cruise cable, and kick down cable.
I have a Lokar cable and bracket on my truck. It costs more than a junkyard piece but, being stainless steel, it looks better. It was easy to install and works smoothly.
sweet! We have the same distributor, lol. What do plan to use for a assy belt tensioner?
Worked on mine today, and ordered more parts.
Something about doing it all yourself!
I'll post some more pics tomorrow.
I have that March alternator bracket and just planned on cranking it tight. I put the belt on Friday and it doesn't seem to have an excessive amount of belt deflection between the ps and alt pulleys. Once I get it running I'll see if I need to do something else. I have an MSD distributor with mechanical advance and the steel gear for the roller cam.
I bought a MSD too, tried Ebay and got a POS "never used" distributor.
How someone could list it as never used??, completely worn out. With some luck the truck may run next weekend.
