My pinion seal was leaking on my two speed and after removong the nut and yoke (a job in and of itself) I removed a crazy looking seal. I called Chuck at Chucks Trucks and he gave me the number of of the modern lip seals he sales to replace the old leather one. I found the seal locally and did not have to order anything. He was a pretty cool guy to talk to me himself with all the other business he has. I have always heard of how hot flatheads run, heck with a 160 degree thermostate I can't get mine over 160 even at highway speeds. I'm not complaining but I would actually like it to run a little warmer. I will find out next month how hot it runs with a load
Chuck has helped me numerous times on building my F-5 from the frame up.
I wouldn't be 1/4 of the way done without his knowledge and parts avalibilty.
When it comes to these trucks, Chuck IS the man.
It's a shame Chuck is not allowed here. The moderators should let him in!
His knowledge is priceless!
