Another question to all the classic ford gurus. I have a 58 ford with the stock 9". Does anyone know what spline count I have, or do i just need to tear it down. I'm going to change out to 3.73 or 3.50's but i don't know if I hae a 28 or 31 spline count.Any help is appreciated. Happy fording.

if no one has messed with it, you should have a 28 spline axle. 57-72's used the 28 spline. It seems easier to find a wider variety of gear ratios for the 28 splines.
