to solve all of this bickering...
with the motor running put your truck into neutral. place the switch to 4Hi...after you hear the relay click or say 10 seconds, place the switch into the 4lo position. you will hear the clunk of your transfer case if the system is working.
now put the truck in gear and floor it. if your truck takes off like a bat out of hell and the motor is screaming at 4,000 rpm while you do 10-20 mph, you're in 4lo. if not, go to the dealership and have them fix the problem
