Only 10,000 miles, only one problem involving occasional dying at a stop, fixed under warranty. Can't count my opinion anyway though, I'm still in luv with the beast.....
my dad just passed 70,000 on his 04 and not one problem...there was a creaking in the front end...sounded like a ball joint and amazingly it disappeared...o well just oil changes and a couple sets of pads and rotors
I drove a 99 v10 for almost 8 years and never had a complaint. I now have an 07 v10 with a whopping 258 miles. The new one is light years ahead of the old 2 valve. It is the best gas truck engine made in my opinion. It idles like a sewing machine and has loads of torque to pull with. And really, mpg is respectable for this size of truck. If you get the 4:30 gears you will not be disappointed.
I've got a 01 F350 V10 Reg cab 2wd with 122,000 miles. I'm the second owner but have nearly all maint records. There have been no significant problems with my truck.
I've got 6,000mi on my 07 F250 and no problems other than some weird thing happening when I gas up. After the pump shuts off on it's own, I can still put in another 4 or 5 gals. but really slowly... takes about 10 mins.
I'm going in to the dealer tomorrow morning for a scheduled service and will ask them.. I'll post if I get any kind of an answer..
I have 89000 on my 01,runs like a champ. If you take care of her ,she will take care of you.I am very OCD when keeping up with the prevetive maint........
With my last trip to Sumter, South Carolina... odometer reads 170689, no drivetrain problems yet...and there will be none... I'm hoping... just had this truck checked out by the family mechanic not too long ago... he said it was immaculate... I'm stoked... 300,000 miles here I come. Awesome truck.. and this is a 2002... so imagine what the 07 3v's can do...
