I am new here, please be patient with my question....
My son has a 1990 F150 with 302 EFI.
On the throttle body there is a coolant line that runs off one of the heater hoses and attaches to the top left of the throttle body and exits out of the bottom left of the throttle body.
The hose that was connected to the bottom outlet got a hole in it and while he was trying to remove the hose off the bottom of the throttle body broke the fitting the hose was attached to.
Since he was on the side of the road he bypassed the flow path.
What is the purpose to have the hoses flow antifreeze/coolant thru the throttle body? What happens if it is not reconnected?
