Service Code 35 indicates that the EGR Valve Position (EVP) sensor signal is greater than the Self-Test maximum value of 4.81 volts.
Possible causes:
Damaged EVP sensor.
Short to power in harness.
Open in SIG RTN.
Damaged processor.
* Key off.
* Disconnect EVP sensor.
* Rerun Key On Engine Off and Key On Engine Running Self-Test.
Is Code 31 present (ignore all other codes)?
Yes
GO to «DN6».
No
GO to «DN7».
Service Code 42 HEGO sensor right or rear, system indicates rich.
Possible Causes:
--Fuel injectors
--HEGO sensor
--Thermactor
--PCV
--Vacuum
--CANP
--MAP sensor
* Key off.
* Remove the PCV valve from the valve cover. Inspect both rocker cover hole and
PCV for damage, sludge build up, blockage and movement of valve plunger. Service as necessary.
* Run Engine Running Self Test.
NOTE:
For a No Start Go directly to «H2».
* Are any of the these codes present in KOER Self-Test, 41-91-42-92?
Yes
REINSTALL PCV valve. GO to «H2».
No
CHANGE engine oil and filter. REINSTALL PCV valve. DRIVE vehicle 5 miles/55mph. RERUN «Quick Test».
