50 and 51 same ignition switch?

50 and 51 same ignition switch?
My 50 F1 iginition switch was removed and the hole was enlarged for a latter model switch leaving a real mess. I've got a switch from a 51. Does anybody know if they're the same? I'll have to weld up the hole to make it fit and I only want to do this once.

If you have the key, put it in cyl and turn to accessories position. There's a hole in it that you can see a pin in. push the pin down and then pull the cyl and key out. Sometimes the pin doesn't push down very well. Do not force it down. Squirt some penetrating oil in to lube it.
