I FOUND IT

About a week ago I was aksing about where a voltage regulator might be located. I found it by tracing the wires. I have replaced it with an OEM type and harness.

The hot rod F100 was built using a Wire Works wiring kit so not much info is available. However, if you used this wiring kit and need to replace the vR, you will find it attached to the fuse box. It is about 1.5" square and silver in color. It has one red wire from the "field" connection on the box and a blue wire going to the voltmeter - then to the battery.

It is made by lucas electrical (should have guessed that - my past experience with Lucas equipment on britsh cars was not pleasant)and is no longer available through the wire works. They sell a "kit" to replace it with the OEM type. I elected to scrounge the harness and do it myself.
