you engine is a 73-78 with the casting numbers, that is close enough because in the base engine castings there is no difference in those years. For the block and heads it also doesn't matter what car it came from, as the block and heads were the same if it was used in an LTD or a Linclon. as RTM mentioned the water pump might be different and they DID use different pulleys on the ps pumps to give different alignments. I have 5 completely different pulley's that will fit the ps pump that is in my galaxie (not the stock one) and was able to find one that would line up properly.
As far as the alt the alignment is based on the spacer behind it, if you need to go out to be in alignment put a washer behind the spacer, if you need to go in take a little off the spacer. You can also buy spacer materiel and cut one to length just be sure and cut it straight.
If the alt belt is the only issue then try a quality belt first. Plus you haven't mentioned where it's off at. Adjusting the spacer behind the alt is an easy thing to do. Much easier than chasing down all new parts when all you may need is the spacer. I'm sure some one could give you the correct length if that's your problem.
