A couple of places come to mind.............
1. Shelby Forest State Park. This is restricted to certain days of the week and you I think you must check in and out?
2. Chickasaw State Park. A lot of land there with fire trails all over it.
Both may require some scouting and prep work, But, you may just get lucky right out of the box.
Last weekend was Juvenile Hunt. That is a good weekend to take him as it is either sex. There is another Juvenile weekend at the end of the season usually.
Shelby Forest state park is good. LBL has some good places too. BTW I did ok on my hunt. I have a bunch of deersteak & deerburger in the freezer. I bagged a good doe Monday afternoon. I saw a huge buck Tuesday but I couldn't get a shot on him.I hope no one gets him before Thanksgiving because I plan to get that buck. He is one of the biggest one I've seen on our land. Plus I have the whole place to myself this yr. My cousins have newborn kids & don't have time to hunt this fall. Lucky me! Man it was fun to be in the woods. The leaves are in full color. Has anyone else been hunting?
I went this weekend, did not do any good. Plan on going back Wednesday.
I hunt in Tn. It is Muzzleloader this week. I really like the Muzzleloader season and hunting.
No, Hunted on private land. I have a small spot I can go to, and am very lucky to have a good friend with about 600 acres in 3 places. He lets me hunt with him any time I want. I guess helping him with the property, cows, and any other ole thing pays off in some ways other than just having a good friend.
