Just purchased a 2006 F250 6.0L Power Stroke. Looking for break in tips, also recommendations on intake, exhaust, and chips for a little extra power while cruising and towing.
Welcome! Are you concerned about keeping your warranty intact? If yes, then just go with a good quality Cat-Bak exhaust and skip the intake and tuner. Unless you're really going to mod the engine, the stock intake will do just fine. If they find any trace of a tuner being installed on your truck, the warranty is shot. If you keep the stock cat in by using a cat-back exhaust, they will honor the warranty, but if you go turbo back and remove it, they will most likely void your warranty.
As far as break-in, just go easy on the big girl for a couple thousand. Many on here recommend changing the oil after two-thousand miles to get the break-in oil out. Also, many recomend NOT switching over to synthetic oil until at least 20,000 miles. Diesels really aren't broke-in until then.
