Fan Clutch

well still fighting with this water pump issue.Figure I can get a new fan clutch as this is probably original to begin with. Is a hayden a good one? or should I just get the no name cheap one or is this it.
I have no slop at all in the water pump I pulled off so not really sure if it is bad or not. Is there somewhere else water can come from above the crank pully?
Almost tempted to get a new gasket and put it back on and see what happens after all the time I wasted figure what do I have to lose now.
thanks
jack

Sometimes the seals will fail even though the bearing is good. There should be a hole in the bottom of the pump, it is a weep hole, and many times antifreeze will come out that hole. The old sales pitch for water pump lube and that kind of garbage were simply gimmicks, as the water pump bearings are sealed bearings... sometimes the seals to them fail, and let coolant pass through, and out the weep hole.

Above the crank pulley several areas, thermostat gasket, upper coolant manifold/rad hose, any coolant line, valley pan/head frost plugs. Water pump seals can fail over time if too much SCAs are used..... Did you seal the threads and heads on the 2 upper and 2 lower bolts on the WP.

OK, I've been in the wine again and trying to make sense of your post,
-is your water pump shot?
-is your fan clutch shot?
-can you get the fan off?
