Front end shake
I have a 1999 F350 Crew Cab Dually. Yesterday I drove through a highway construction area and hit a rough area with the left tires only. The front end shook and the steering wheel just about shook out of my hands. When I braked, and quickly slowed down to about 5 mph, the shaking stopped. I was driving about 30 mph, and it is an area I have driven over several times before with no problems. A friend of mine, who is a mechanic, looked at the linkage and he couldn't find any problems. Does anybody have any ideas what could cause this problem?
